Come Join the CODA Chorus!
CODA Chorus will resume rehearsals on January 31st!
We’re excited about spring season!
We would love to have you join us (and bring a friend). Here's what you need to know:
Rehearsals are each Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm.
Dues are $40 (with scholarships available).
We will be accepting registrations through the first three weeks of rehearsal.
Current COVID guidelines:
COVID vaccinations are recommended for participation.
Masks are suggested during rehearsal but not required.
Distancing, a break to sanitize the rehearsal area, and hand sanitizing will continue to prevent the spread of COVID.
If you’re thinking about joining CODA, here’s some more information!
There are no auditions; we welcome any community members, high school age and older. Previous choral experience or music-reading skills are helpful but not required.
In recent years our members have come from the greater central Maine area, including Augusta, Farmingdale, Fayette, Gardiner, Hallowell, Leeds, Lewiston, Litchfield, Manchester, Monmouth, Mount Vernon, Palermo, Pittston, Readfield, Sidney, Vienna, Wales, Wayne, and Winthrop.
We rehearse in-person weekly on Tuesdays, from 7:00-9:00 pm, at the Winthrop United Methodist Church.
We presented two formal concerts a year, one in the winter and the other in the spring. Rehearsals begin after Labor Day for our winter season and in mid-January for our spring season.
New members are welcome through the third rehearsal of each season; if you’re just curious, feel free to attend a rehearsal to see what you think!
Membership dues are $40.00 for each season. Dues may be waived in the case of financial need through a written request to a Board member. Membership is free for High School students.
